Lewis River
The Lewis River is located in Woodland Washington. In The Spring (April-May) the Lewis River is home to one of the best Spring Chinook runs in Washington. For Springers We mostly "Hover Fish" Egg and Shrimp baits. When Summers hits the Lewis we will start "Freedrifting" for chrome bright Summer Steelhead. Summer Runs are full of fight and are a blast on light tackle. In Fall (August-November) large numbers of Chinook and Coho will be in the Lewis, Once again Hover fishing Egg Baits is the weapon of choice and when that 30-50 pounder grabs your eggs, throbs down on your rod 3 to 4 times, you set the hook, 50 to 75 yards of line rips off your reel, THE FIGHT IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!
