STEELHEAD
Steelhead are without a doubt the most sought after fish in the rivers of the Pacific Northwest. Whether you are fishing for acrobatic Summer Steelhead June through August on the Cowlitz River or beautiful native chrome Winter Steelhead on the Olympic Peninsula, they never leave you disappointed. During the summer (June - August) we fish the Cowlitz river where limits of summer chrome are the norm. These fish run 6 to 15 pounds and are great fighters on light tackle. During the winter (December - March) we fish the Wynoochee, Satsop and Humptulips Rivers. Early winter produces large amounts of hatchery steel then in February - March the natives hit the rivers and that is the time to catch that 20 plus pound monster.
